Scott is the founder and CEO of Empowered Consulting, an electricity services brokerage company and Energy Agent that helps consumers compare rates from electricity providers. He started his companies in 2002. He is also a professional golfer, which he played for six years after he graduated from Texas A&M. He holds three math-related degrees, which he has leveraged to develop a popular course-management system for serious golfers.
Scott has been involved with the Opportunity Rising Foundation for the past several years and was excited to join its Advisory Board after seeing its scholars making a strong effort to accomplish great things in life. A personal loss of family in 2016 compelled him to want to do more to give back. Our foundation is one of the ways Scott is becoming more involved with the community.
He joined a group called Givingx100 in Frisco, TX whose members combine financial resources to contribute to select charities. The Opportunity Rising Foundation was selected this year and Givingx100’s donation will support many scholarships in the coming year.
